​Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria spoke on the #IStandWithNigeria protests that greeted the Nigerian streets today, Monday the 6th of February, 2017.

Earlier, Innocent Idibia (TuFace) had backed off from the protest alleging that some unscrupulous elements may have interfered with the protest.

The Acting President on his Twitter handle, said:

“To those who are protesting, WE HEAR YOU loud and clear.
To those who are on the streets protesting the economic situation and those who are not, but feel the pain of economic hardship, we hear you.
You deserve a decent life and and we are working night and day to make life easier.”

Nigerians hope they will get that decent life they deserve and very soon.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari is on sick leave at the United Kingdom.
